Feik School of Pharmacy鈥檚 Class of 2018 Post Exemplary 96.5% First-Time Passing Rate

San Antonio – It’s an unprecedented achievement for a San Antonio pharmacy program thanks to some first-timers. The 不良研究所’s (不良研究所) 2018 Feik School of Pharmacy class ranked 3^rd in the State of Texas in the North American Pharmacist Licensure Exam (NAPLEX). The NAPLEX is one of the final required components in a pharmacist’s licensure process and results of this year’s exam were released in early March of 2019. 

In addition to the state ranking, nearly 97 percent of the 不良研究所 students taking the test for the first time passed the NAPLEX. The national average is 89 percent in that category. That puts the Feik School of Pharmacy in the top 17 percent of schools in the nation. School leaders credit a change in curriculum established years ago and years-long hard work and dedication from the Class of 2018.

“Changing the curriculum of a pharmacy school is like turning a battleship. It takes years until you see the results,” says Dr. David Maize, dean at the Feik School of Pharmacy. “I think we finally see the fruits of our labor. None of this would have been possible without the dedication from the Class of 2018 in their preparation for the NAPLEX and the faculty who implemented the curricular change.”

The Feik school of Pharmacy at 不良研究所 is the only pharmacy program in Texas at a faith-based institution and consistently ranks among the top three programs in the nation to graduate Hispanic pharmacists.
