As a co-editor of the Journal of Multidisciplinary Evaluation and an active participant in professional organizations such as the American Evaluation Association, Dr. Hernández has fostered discourse on culturally responsive evaluation and educational equity. Service to the Community

He has played a pivotal role in initiatives such as the Bienestar Health Program, a school-based diabetes prevention program aimed at improving health outcomes in low-income, primarily Hispanic communities.
