No cost tutoring for Military/DoD Personnel, ROTC cadets and Dependent Family Members at Tutor.com/military

Tutor.com for U.S. Military Families, funded by the Department of Defense (DoD) and Coast Guard Mutual Assistance (CGMA), is a program that allows eligible students in military and DoD families to connect to a live tutor 24/7 for one-to-one help with coursework, studying, writing assignments, test prep and other subjects, at no cost. has subject matter experts available in more than 150 academic subjects.

DoD and Coast Guard military service members, civilian personnel and all dependent family members are eligible to use Tutor.com/military when the service member is in either active/full-time or part-time/traditional drilling status, wherever they are located. ROTC cadets, wounded warriors and Gold Star Family members are also eligible. For more information, to confirm your eligibility, or to create an account and get started right away, visit . Scholarships Available to Veterans and Dependents

  • The Council of College and Military Educators (CCME) offers a variety of $1,000 scholarships to United States active duty service members, veterans, and spouses of service members who are working toward higher education degrees.

  • The VFW Military Scholarship provides annual scholarships for Veterans, Active Duty, Guard or Reserves.

  • AMVETS’ offers scholarship for Veterans (other than dishonorable), Active Duty, Guard and Reserves; Spouses; and Children/Grandchildren of Veterans, Active duty, Guard and Reserves who are currently in high school.

  • The Purple Heart Scholarship Program is an annual scholarship program that awards scholarships to Purple Heart recipients and their spouses, children and grandchildren each year.

  • The 82nd Airborne Division Association has funds available for former troopers who are within two years of their separation date or dependent children of a Veteran or Active Duty Association LIFE member in good standing. This scholarship is only available to those who are planning to pursue a bachelor’s degree.

  • The American Legion’s Legacy Scholarship provides college scholarship money to children of post 9-11 veterans who died on active duty, or have a combined VA disability rating of 50 percent or greater.

  • The Veterans United Foundation offers scholarships to the surviving spouses or children of a deceased service member or veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces or a veteran with 100% service-connected disability.

  • The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation has a variety of scholarships available to the children (including stepchildren) of Active Duty, Reserve or Veteran Marines.

  • Wings over America annually sponsors fifty scholarships for dependent children and spouses of U.S. Navy personnel – officer and enlisted – active duty, retired, honorably discharged or deceased who served within Naval Air Forces. Recipients are selected on the basis of scholastic merit, community service, extra-curricular activities and character.

  • The Freedom Alliance Scholarship fund is for the children of military personnel who have been killed or permanently disabled in a combat mission or training accident.The American Valor Foundation is a privately funded, non-profit foundation established in 2014, whose mission includes awarding annual higher education scholarships to individuals who are active or retired military or first responders OR whose family members are active or retired military or first responders and who wish to continue their pursuit of higher education. Scholarships will be awarded to those with a desire to continue their education in a field that will have a positive impact on Community, State, and Country.

  • The American Valor Foundation is a privately funded, non-profit foundation established in 2014, whose mission includes awarding annual higher education scholarships to individuals who are active or retired military or first responders OR whose family members are active or retired military or first responders and who wish to continue their pursuit of higher education. Scholarships will be awarded to those with a desire to continue their education in a field that will have a positive impact on Community, State, and Country.
