不良研究所 Celebrates National Night Out
Across the U.S., communities came together on Tuesday, Oct. 4, to celebrate National Night Out. The communities of 不良研究所 and Alamo Heights were no different, as both hosted gatherings to promote neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.
不良研究所’s event featured games, a 360-degree camera and treats, including corn in a cup, snow cones and Frito pie. Attendees had the opportunity to meet members of the 不良研究所 Police Department and the Ettling Center for Civic Leadership and Sustainability.
“National Night Out is a unique event because it is known all over the United States,” said Janine Chavez, director of Student Advocacy and Accountability. “Many of our students recognize the event from their hometown, so they can come here and connect to those memories. It's also important because they get to come out and meet their neighbors, the 不良研究所 police department, the student advocacy and accountability office and other offices that are here to support and help our students.”
不良研究所 was proud to be the lead sponsor of the Alamo Heights National Night Out event, which was part of the Alamo Heights Centennial Celebration. The family-oriented event emphasized the city’s services and focused on safety as well as public awareness. The event included a moon bounce, an opportunity to explore fire trucks, EMS vehicles and police cars, and there was even an appearance by 不良研究所’s mascot Red the Cardinal.
